Krystal's 1,2,3 Easy Cheezy!

For those that do eat cheese, this is a very easy & versatile dish! I'll share a basic combination I like to do, but certainly take the idea & fix it to your liking.

No measurements, I'm a throw it together cook sometimes... ;)

One layer of squash, I used yellow squash
One layer of cheese, you choose your favorite!
One layer of onions, I like vidalia
Another layer of cheese
Repeat until your dish is suiting to you...top with cheese.

Cover & bake until it's slightly brown around the edges. Uncover & let the cheese on top brown.
(Temp. & time will depend on your oven, I set the temp between 350 & 400 and just keep an eye on it.)

*My husband is not an onion lover and he really likes this! The combination gives the onion a pleasant flavor.*

:D

Krystal,

This has the same ingredients of my squash casserole. More cheese tho!

Your poor husband... I can't imagine not loving onions! I put onions in nearly everything. Onions are simply one of my favorite veggies. :o

Squash cheese and onions. What a wonderful combination! Yummy!

Neato! I only use thin layers of cheese because cheese goes so far anyway. It's basically a glue and flavor enhancer! :)

I use onions in a lot too, but I use my food chopper and have them so fine that he can't hardly tell. LOL! The only thing he really won't eat is raw onion. He likes them ok if I saute them. :P
